Halter neck dresses are one of my current favourites for this season, especially since their shape allows for the showing off of creamy shoulders and elegant necks. In this post i present to you my favourite halter neck dresses:
These two dresses are from Sonia by Sonia Rykiel, the designer's diffusion line, and they have a sporty vibe. I particularly like the one on the left. The purple and black combination has a sort of quirkiness to it that would make it unique for day time wear, and funky for night.
Other nice pieces include these two by T-bags and Dahl respectively. These can be easily paired with metallic sandals for day wear, or dressed up for an evening date with patent leather pumps and a chic clutch.
Sandals for the day (these pairs are from Urban Outfitters)...
...and pumps for night (these yummys are from Marc by Marc Jacob. My favourite label for shoes.)
Then there are these two lovelies from Foley for Foley+Corinna (left) and Geren Ford (right). The Foley piece would do really well for a classy dinner or night out, while the Ford piece is a nice casual piece for a day out in town. Or if you're a student like me, a nice piece for school.
And finally, these two dresses are from Paul and Joe and 3.1 Philip Lim respectively. The Paul and Joe piece has a classic quality about it. First, because it has polka dots, second because it is white, and third, because it has a nipped waist, it seems straight out from 1930s movie, where the wealthy heroine would match a dress like this with a big white hat and genteelly sip tea in her garden. (I think i watch too many period movies. Move forward a few decades and the purple colour and trapeze shape would not look out of place in a night club like Studio 54. Just remember to add some serious bling. Gold hoop earrings would do very nicely.
These pairs from Urban Outfitters would do very nicely indeed.
