While yellow has always been one of my favourite colours since young, i have not had many yellow pieces in my wardrobe. Not till this season at least. Now, I'm craving all things yellow... They would look good with white and other neutrals such as biege/cream or light khaki.
This is from Riverisland. I would match it either with white or khaki shorts, and either with patent black ballet flats or with those ethnic-y sandals. Maybe even white flip flops.
The zara dress i've blogged about.
I bought this from Topshop. A really nice, casual dress to wear to school.
From American Eagle Outfitters. This would be lovely with shorts. Either white, cream, or sheersucker shorts.
White Juicy Couture shorts. Cream Lauren Moffatt shorts.
Seven for All Mankind Sheersucker shorts.
Or pair it with this cute one from Primp. All available from www.shopbop.com
I don't fancy pairing yellow with black. Too bumblebee-ish for my tastes and i was stung before.
Then there are the yellow shorts (to be paired with something other than yellow of course)...
This cute pair comes from Topshop.
and there are yellow bags...
(from Anthropologie)
more yellow dresses
(from Catherine Malandrino and Mint respectively)
yellow belts...
(from jovovich-hawk)
yellow or mostly yellow shoes...
(Madison Harding and Keds respectively)
yellow flip-flops...
(this pair comes from Havaianas)
A word of caution: Yellow can be a bit tricky to wear cos it depends on the type of yellow. Stay away from greenish-yellow tones. They look cheap and barely flatter anyone.
Also try to avoid this:
Boots such as these are best left to bears such as this:
